How To Unblock Yourself From Someone's Facebook

What is Facebook Jail?

Facebook Jail is when Facebook punish an account (profile or business page) -it could be that it blocks some features or disable the full account- because it breaks Facebook laws (post inappropriate content, post too fast, give too many likes, etc.).

The penalties range from the impossibility of publishing for a few hours, 3 days, 6 days, a week until the removal of the profile or page.

The problem is that reading the terms and conditions either ends up confusing us or flat-out putting us to sleep. Avoiding getting into Facebook jail is not very complicated, but sometimes is more difficult than learning how to know your aura color

That’s why In this post, we bring you 10 essential tips to avoid being blocked by Facebook … and not fall asleep reading the fine print.

5. Stop Facebook from blocking your account: Dont act like a spammer

There are a number of behaviors on Facebook that, besides being annoying to everyone, can threaten the very existence of your account. Here we review the online behaviors that act as non-stop tickets to Facebook Jail.

First of all, and as we mentioned above, Karen Clark says you shouldn’t send friend requests to people that you have no connection to. In other words, try to connect only with people who could actually recognize you. This is convenient because, after rejecting your friendship, Facebook asks users if they know you, and if many of them say “no”, then you’ll be marked as SPAM.

She also recommends not promoting your business on the business pages of other users, not as a post, nor as a comment. Don’t even do it by “liking” their project.

These are unethical behaviors and the account managers of those accounts will NOT hesitate to mark you as spam. Along the same lines, don’t use private messages for promotional purposes, or else you will also be reported by the recipients of unwanted notifications.

How To Know If Someone Has Blocked You On Messenger (Video)

It might also happen that someone just wants to ignore you on the Messenger and does not want to unfriend or block you from Facebook. You can follow the steps below to check if someone is ignoring you on the messenger or not.

1. Open the Messenger app on your phone. Now search for your friend who you think has blocked you on messenger.

2. Once you find the friend, tap on that friend’s name to see your chatting history. Now try to send them a message by typing a message in the text box at the bottom of the screen and then tap on Send.

3. If the message goes through and you see a check inside a circle icon. Then it means the person has not blocked you from Facebook and messenger. When they read your message the check icon will be changed with their profile icon as shown here.

4. However, if the person has blocked you only on the messenger, then your message will go through but the other person won’t receive it. This means that either they have blocked you on the messenger or they don’t have an active internet connection.

To confirm that your friend has not received the message you can look at the check under the circle icon. If the circle is filled with color then it means that the message is received. But, if the check under the circle icon is empty then it means that your friend has not received the message yet.

If you can see that the person is active now on the messenger but still the message is not received, then they have definitely blocked you on the messenger.

5. On opening the chat conversation with your friend if you see the message “You can’t reply to this conversation“. Then it means that either you have been completely blocked from Facebook by your friend or they have deactivated the account.

You can confirm this by following the steps shown in the previous method.

Blocking vs. Snoozing, Unfollowing, or Unfriending

Blocking is different from unfriending, snoozing, or unfollowing someone. Before you decide to block someone, see if another action might be more appropriate.

When you snooze a Facebook friend, you won't see their posts for 30 days, which helps if you need a break.

Unfollowing means you won't see someone's posts, which is useful if you'd like to maintain a connection but don't want to encounter what the individual shares. It's easy to follow the person again if you change your mind.

Unfriending takes unfollowing up a notch, removing the person's posts from your feed and preventing them from seeing your non-public posts. If you change your mind, send them a new friend request to restart your relationship.

Blocking is more serious than the other options. When you block a Facebook user, they can't communicate with you or see anything you post, and you won't see any of their posts or comments. It will be as if you're invisible to each other on Facebook.

The blocked user can’t invite you to events, see your profile, or send you an instant message through Messenger. If you decide to unblock the person, send them a new friend request.

You can block anyone on Facebook, whether they're a current Facebook friend or not.

  • The first method works for any sites that you need to block and is not just limited to Facebook.
